Thinking of buying a KUBOTA MX5100
HI ANYONE KNOW WHETHER IMPLEMENTS USED ON A fORD 3000 tRACTOR COULD BE EASILY COMPATABLE FOR USE BY kubota mx5100 ?

I'm thinking of buying used tractor implements when i buy a new tractor...i think the Ford 3000 was a 47 HP tractor and so i need to be sure they are easily compatable before buying them...including a BH...ill find out brands in next couple days.

The MX5100 is a cat 1/2 3 pt hitch so it should accept 3 pt implements from the Ford without any issues.
With the backhoe just make sure you get a subframe that will mount up to the MX5100.

wmonroe, thanks for your advice.

Can you explain about the subframe....are you saying the subframe is specific to whatever BH it is or would it be the subframe they offer when the BH92 is usually attached, although in australia there seems to be a safety modifucation under way and we cant get the BH 92 to be attached.

The subframe is unique to both the backhoe and the tractor. Each type of backhoe has its own particular design and each tractor has unique dimensions, weight distribution, mounting points, etc. A factory backhoe and subframe such as the Kubota is designed specifically for Kubota tractors; backhoes made by independent manufacturers are more generic so they can fit on many different tractors simply by using the appropriate subframe.

In some ways you can think of a subframe as similar to installing a receiver-type trailer hitch on a vehicle. Each different make and model of vehicle requires a hitch mount individually designed to fit properly on that vehicle.

If you get a factory Kubota backhoe they will supply you with the correct subframe. I read your original post as you were taking a backhoe from the Ford 3000 and adapting it to the Kubota.

Thanks guys, there is so much to learn..lol

I,ve learnt so much on TBN over last few months and i still not scratched the surface of what there is to learn.

I'm now trying to see if a mini hoe can be connected on the front of the Loader quick coupler and whether it would be safe stability wise i mean.

The BH 92 can no longer be attached to the rear of a kubota due to safety issues in Australia and with the high cost of other BH's im looking for a sompler solution for when i need a BH type action. Anyone know of any such attachments being used successfully.

I don't think any of the mini hoe's designed for a skid steer would be weak enough not to mess up your FEL.

I dont see how it would mess anything up on his loader. The loader on a MX5100 is rated similar to most mid-sized SS's. And if you try to dig too much, it will just pull you forward or lift the front end in the air. Something that can be done with just the bucket. So I dont see the issue. But I dont have any facts or experience to back it up.

The problem is I visibility and manuverability that might hold you up. That and hydraulic flow.
