Kubota MX5100 vs. JD 5055D?

I guess I don't care where a company's headquarters are. I don't understand how our country benefits if someone supports John Deere vs. a foreign tractor company. Profits go to shareholders, and many americans own foreign stock and therefore benefit from those foreign companies making a profit.

If you already have a Kubota M5040 and intend on keeping it, I would go with another Kubota. That gives you one stop shopping for all your tractor parts, fluids, filters, etc. Of course, that is if you like your dealer.

Still, take a test drive on the John Deere before you make your final decision.

I know that Kubota and Deere are your first choices and they are both fine units...
I would lean toward the Deere in this application due to the weight of the tractor...
I would also look at the 2600 series from Massey or New Holland equivalents...
That is if a dealer is within convenient driving distance...
