Kubota B6200 D
I have a Kubota B6200 D that makes a terrible noise when I shift into or out of gear. It changes gears cleanly and once I'm moving or out of gear, no noise. Can anyone tell me what to look for. Like I say, once it's in gear and moving there is no noise, or when it's setting still with the clutch in, no noise. Just when changing gears.

Ok so lets try to narrow this down a bit. If the tractor is running does the noise start when you push the clutch in or do you have to try and change gears for the noise to start? If it starts when you push the clutch in then there is something wrong with the throw out bearing and if the noise only starts when you try to shift gears then the problem is more likely to be inside the transmission. Chances are it's the clutch and if you keep using it eventually the noise will get worse and you won't have a clutch at all. How good are you at splitting tractors?

For a few years owned a Kubota L 3600 and the throw out bearing became loose from the retainers on clutch release rod and in separating the engine from transmission it was caused by rust on shaft and would keep the bearing from sliding to release. The clutch never really separated from flywheel.

:welcome: from Washington State. Yes also sorry to hear of your issue but I am sure the good folk here on TBN will help as best we can. The more info you provide the better the responses. There are quite a few very knowledgable people here. Good luck. I don't know if this is a stretch for you but maybe post a video w/audio and that could help describe what is happening?

Thanks to you all for your help and support. Am going to use it for a while today and see if it gets any worse. If so, guess I'll have to break it open and see what I find.
Thanks again,
Bitz

After pulling the tranny apart we found it was the pilot bearing. Thanks to all who tried to help...
