Kubota oil filter

Hi, I've got L3010 GST . 600hrs. Up till now I was using original oil filter for the engine." oil filter 17321-32430"
When went shopping for filters for 600hr service , I was tald old number is no longer available. New number is
70000-32091. Filter is bigger than original. After the new filter was installed I noticed it takes much longer for oil light to go out after start , than with original one. I think it might damage engine in a long run. Thank you for any comments. Al

Proper part number for the oil filter should be 70000-74035. The 70000-32091 will match up threads and gasket but is not correct for the 3010.

Ditto on the 70000-74035 for the L3010. I checked the box I saved from last oil change and found the same number.

NAPA can cross over your # to a wix filter. thats what in use on everthing my tractor, my truck, fleet trucks running 300,000 miles on the same engine. with no oil related repairs. good oil helps too.

On my 3010, I use a Fram PH16 oil filter.

My dealers major complaint is that Kubota changes filter numbers around a lot.

Began my 50 hour service yesterday on my 2910. First thing I did was change the engine oil and filter. When I put the side panel back on, noticed it was taking more pressure than usual. Noticed the side panel was tight against the filter. Compared the length of the filter I had just taken off to the filter I had just put on (The old filter was one I changed at 25 hours). The new filter was 3/4 inch longer than the older one. Looked at the part numbers on the boxes and they were the same (I save the side panels with the part # info to prove I did the service). I took both side panels to my dealer (about 60 miles round trip) and showed them to him and asked if the filters were the same. He said yes. I told him the newer one was 3/4 inch longer. He said, "Yeah, Kubota contracts with different companies and that accounts for the difference." You would think Kubota would require all companies to produce them to the same specs.
