Kubota or Mahindra

Get the Kubota. I would stick to a tractor from what I call the big 4. Kubota, New Holland, JD and Massey/Agco. I have learned my lesson.

I would have to agree with the above post, if you stay with the big 4 you should be good to go. JD has incredible parts support, NH has a 4wd system that will traverse anything, kubotas are a lightweight powerhouse & masseys are built like a brick $hithouse, you cant go wrong with the big 4!

To add to Hard and lawn_king... should you ever decided to sell (because of location change or needs change) - the big 4 will get you more of your hard earned cash back. (I hesitate to talk about resale because lots of folks seem to assume you buy forever - but you never can predict what life may throw your way)

after putting 25hr on my friends 2615MA,and breaking some things(posted in march?) I went with Kubota and a much larger model than I originally intended to purchase . Boy I'm sure glad I got the Bigger Bota TLB 48. Of course ths is a Bota Forum. You could always paint her red.

After having owned 2 Kubota's, I'm rather partial to them. The truth is that they are both( Kubota and Mahindra) excellent machines. Which dealer seems the most customer friendly? Is one more convenient to get to over the other? Which dealership appears to have the best customer support? Once you've bought a machine your going to need a minimal,hopefully, amount of parts and service for the life of the machine. Who will be the most capable of providing these services? These are some of the questions you'll have to ask yourself as you shop for the toy,errrr, Machine of your dreams!
Most of all, buy the tractor that meets your current and possible future needs. If you plan on spending hours in the seat at a time for large projects, the comfort factor increases exponentially. Good Luck and have fun!!

I have had two Kubota tractors as well. I will never buy on name alone again.

I advise try all offerings out there. Do all your home work. The Grand ‘L’ series is terrific. I would not under any circumstance buy a BX again. The best dealer can only do so much.

If they are local, look hard at the JD, New Holland and Mahindra. What fits best and who will support you best during warranty period and after.

Had my mind set on the 2615 last year after going to the NYS Farm Show in Syracuse. Liked the overall looks of the tractor and the price was nice. Went to the dealer in my area and he didn't even have one on the lot! Next closest dealer was in a town I've never heard of over 1 hr away. Too bad because what I saw was a nice machine. Would have loved to have tested one out. Heard they are heavy which wouldn't work for me based on what I planned on doing with it.
Went with the Kubota after testing out the 'big four' simply because the dealer was the most helpful. They are located farther away than the other three (JD dealer is less than 1/2 mile from my house!!!) but the customer service was what sold me.

It was between the 2615 and the Kubota L2800. If had been a 3 grand difference that you have, I would have gone for the 2615. But the difference for me was only a grand - went with the "name brand". I really liked the Mahindra, but I absolutely love my L2800.

Me too. Went 20-25 miles for the Kubota with an Agco/Massey dealer a few hundred feet down the road from me!
