I have read some discussion about the newer Kubota orange paint color, but what about the old Kubota orange color? Is there a readily available orange from the hardware store or whatever that is close? Ideally I'd like to get a quart of it so I can use my srpray gun. If I can't find anything in a quart, I'll use rattlecans if necessary.

The same questions apply to the Kubota blue, on the chassis of older machines. I guess they switched to a gray chassis color later on?
However, with the blue I am more interested in just a rattlecan color that is close. I'm just touching up my chassis.

Lowes has a optical computer that can scan your test plate for tint and pigment and copy the older color orange fairly close and mix their premium oil based enamel to your quanity needed. They like to sale it by the gallon because the mix batch ingredients are based on a gallon quanity. I have done this and it wasn't perfect but you really had to look hard to notice a difference. I don't see why they couldn't do it for the blue chassis paint too.

Tractor Supply carries the old Kubota Orange in quarts and spray. It's labeled "Kubota Orange". The new is labeled "New Kubota Orange"

Krylon makes a tractor and implement paint thats Kubota orange, it doesn't match the newer models so I'm guessing it's the old orange.

I've had good luck with Lowes as well but as it turns out it looks as though ANY other store with decent scanner technology (anything from Home Depot to Sherwin Williams) should be able to do this without any problems.

In my experience, the paint mix I got from Lowes was an incredibly close match colorwise but the quality was noticeably better than the Old Kubota Orange in quarts from TSC. Oddly, my stores will NOT sell you that custom paint in gallons however.

I paid about 9 bucks for the last quart I ordered.

Hope this helps the OP!

Found it! As luck would have it, I went down to my local ACE hardware store, and they have ACE brand Rust Stop paint in farm & implement colors, as well as lots of other colors. They come in spray, quarts and gallons. Well they had Allis Chalmers orange, which isnt a good match for the old Kubota, but in the "safety" colors they had Safety Orange, which appears to be a near perfect match for the old Kubota orange. I bought a quart for $6.00. Now if I can get the blue that easily!

They have another color in the Rust Stop line of paints called Harbor Blue, which is close, but not gray enough. I'll probably just order some Kubota blue online.

So, now that I have the mower deck all stripped down, I'm gonna de-rust it, prime with POR-15 and paint it orange to match the tractor. Later I'll do the hood and fenders on the tractor.

When I did some work on my loader arms I used the Van Sickle "A.C. Orange". Seemed to be a pretty good match when compared to the areas hidden from the sun (under the hood etc.).
