Most likely the first batch of 2017 models will peel the paint right off like the Fords and Chevys did in the late 80s.
I致e not noticed this to be a problem except on old Kubotas that were stored outside. I致e seen plenty of 90s model vehicles with peeling clear coat so automotive grade is very reassuring. Even if you had the best paint in the world the sun still destroys plastic, hydraulic hoses, tires, and the seat. If you care about your equipment you really need to keep it out of the sun. My 2011 JD backhoe has likely been stored outside it痴 whole life until I bought it last year and it has quite a bit of sun damage.
I'm not sure if this is what you are referring to, but for a few years there were problems with the primer, so that paint wouldn't stick to it. In order to fix it you had to have your vehicle stripped down to the bare metal.I致e not noticed this to be a problem except on old Kubotas that were stored outside.
