Kubota Part Number Cross Reference/Engine Panel Help

Hi all,

I just bought a Kubota L4200 tractor and the side engine panels are missing. I am having diffiuclty finding replacement ones and was hoping someone could help me out with the following questions:

1) Are there other Kubota tractor models that have the same engine panels?
2) Is there a different tractor brand name that would have the same engine panels (for example Kioti). If so, what tractor model numbers should I be looking for?
3) Is there a place I can cross-reference the L4200's side panel numbers to answer the #1 question above?
4) What are the part numbers for the L4200's side panels?

The L4200 is not listed on the Kubotabooks Index but the L4400 uses for left panel TC230-41320 and right TC230-41330. You can look on Messick's web site for Kubota parts, enter your model number for the tractor, select hood for page and they will email a parts breakdown with numbers.

Actually the numbers I posted have been updated on the L4400 and not sure if they will work for the L4200. New #'s LH TC230-41325 & RH TC230-41335 the price on those panels are about $ 275. each. But just check on Messick's site.

Hello Mike..
I replaced the left panel on my L4200 years ago...
The part numbers are:
Right side, TA040-4132-0
Left side, TA040-4133-0

There are lots of pieces that also are needed to complete the side, plastic inserts, latching lever and a lot of hardware...
Have you checked the tractor salvages? My first check would be at: West Kentucky Tractor Parts - Kevil, Kentucky

I say leave them off. It makes your L4200 look meaner, and also keeps mice from nesting in there. Not to mention (if memory serves) they are outrageously expensive.

I run mine with one side open most of the time.

Very good points and information. I'll be sure to explore the Messicks site you mention. I was playing around a little on there yesterday.

And, I've been shooting out emails to all the salvage yards that have websites or are on TractorHouse. But, no luck thus far. Erghh...

Does anyone know off hand if there is another brand tractor that uses the same side panels or other Kubota models?

On a slightly different note, this si the first tractor I have had. As such, I'm not real sure how these side panels attach. Could someone explain or maybe post a couple pics? I'd greatly apprcieate it.

Mike...The Top of each panel is folded over like an upside down U ...
It hangs in the troff on the edge of the top piece...
Then is held in place by handle clamp on the bottom. I'll attach a parts breakdown that shows this better...
