I'm seriously considering buying an L4630. When I was at the dealer the other day, another customer told me that he's been having trouble getting some parts for his Kubotas, and he's seriously thinking of trading them in for another brand. Has anyone else had any trouble getting parts? This may just be sour grapes from one person, but it does worry me a little. I figured that Kubota was so big that getting parts wouldn't be a problem. Does anyone have any experiences bad or good? Also, has anyone had any good or bad warranty experiences?

Thanks!!!!

Longest I waited for a part was the rear brake housing for my L3830 HST which was a 40lb cast iron part that took 5 days from Tractorsmart. Everything else has been quick, but then, everything else has mostly been consumables like filters. I did buy a hard hydraulic line that took 5 days for free shipping where as next day shippng was standard FedEx rates. I have had better experience with Kubota then my Snapper mower, my Toyota van and my Ford truck.

I live in Charlotte NC and have never had trouble getting parts for Kubota or New Holland. The company I work for has several of each. :)

Excluding warranty replacement parts for the BX-I have had no problems at all with the Kubota. Everything has been in stock or at most two days out.

Having stated the above, JD probably has the best parts distribution system today. This is possibly true of any industry including PCs and automotive, but you really pay for it.

The question we always ask at work is, "when do you really need it?" If it is two hours or it will cost you a fortune, then you may seriously want to consider green. If you can wait- 5% of the time- for up to a day, or 1% for up to two days, then there are reasons why you should stay with Orange.

I am not a professional farmer so I am very happy with the Kubota parts distribution system.

I would think that if there were problems getting parts, you'd here about it here in the Kubota forums. Our two Kubotas hardly ever need anything but routine maintenence supplies. Or, there might be a problem with the particular dealer. For example, I wanted to get the factory Owners Manual for our old tractor, and one dealer kept stringing me along for months. I went to our present dealer, and they got it for me in a week.
