The dealer would give me a date and when I would call he would say that part is now back ordered and will be here next Tuesday or whatever. Next Tuesday would roll around and the date would change.
Yeah, I'm getting the same spiel from my dealer as well. I'm sure he's just repeating what Kubota is telling him. I've already resigned myself to freezing my a** off plowing with an open station tractor for the rest of the Winter.
I've been waiting 2 months now to take delivery of a new L6060 HSTC. Due to the disruption in the supply chain caused by the pandemic, the dealer is having trouble getting parts for the optional equipment I ordered. He says some parts have been backordered for 4 months and has no idea when the machine will be ready!
At this rate, I won't have the tractor this winter for plowing snow which is the main reason I ordered the new cab model. Oh well, hopefully I'll have it in time to mow in A/C comfort this summer.
Anyone else seeing delays like this from Kubota?
These are unusual times and that means unusual solutions. So why not just take delivery on the tractor now so you can use it.... and put on the attachments when all have arrived? What's wrong with that?
Although I understand what your frustration & bet Kubota does too. If it were me standing in line, I'd want to be hearing personally from Kubota - not just from the dealer. It's too easy to blame lack of corporate response on outside factors.
I would expect them to explain what they are doing so that delays up front don't perpetuate to become delays in prep, parts, and service on down the road. But that's just my own response & how I like to be treated. If I don't like it, I can always purchase differently.
I haven't been following new equipment sales like I did in years past, but I wonder if other brands having the same delay or is this a Kubota problem?

Good questions.
The Kubota dealer I buy from is one of the largest in the northeastern US. I've purchased 7 tractors from them over the last 40 years. I'm a good customer and have always been treated fairly when dealing with them in the past. The answers I get aren't always what I want to hear but I have no reason to doubt them. I've met the regional Kubota rep a few times and I'll ask the next time I see him.
Taking delivery of the tractor now is always a possibility but it would create some problems. Optional equipment, like the large alternator, defrosters, rear wiper and air seat could be added at a later date but then, there is the down time to consider. Right now, I have the open station L6060 set up for winter use. I would have to do the same to the new machine after I trade the old one. The new tractor has turf tires. The R4's I ordered are back-ordered. I would have to put chains on them for snow removal. The chains would mark up the turfs making them unsalable as new after the R4's are installed.
All this can be negotiated with the dealer but as it looks now, It will be less of a hassle to wait. It would be different if I didn't have a machine to use in the mean time. Winter is almost half over and I can live without a cab for the rest of the season if necessary.
