I've been quoted a price of $15,000 for a bx2360 with 60" MMM, and front mounted snowblower with hydraulic rotator for the chute. No FEL yet, that'll come later. Any thoughts on the price?
NE Pa. area.
I replied to your other thread but that one's kind of gotten off course. On Kubota's website they have a "build my tractor". You can go through it and add in all the options and it will give you retail price. With the larger tractors 10% off is good and 15% or more is very good (not sure if it's the same with the BX line). But I quickly checked and it looks like you're getting about 15% off.
Do you need to front loader control for the hydraulic chute rotator?
I'm sure you realize this, but buying the loader with the tractor is always going to save you money. Buying seperately later........ I'm sure you will be paying full list price.
Here in NH, about 8% off of list was average when I was shopping new Kubotas. I'd consider 10% off of list a heckuva deal around here.
If your just mowing and blowing snow and that's all your sure you'll ever do then forget the FEL. If your planning to ever get a FEL get it now and you'll never regret it. The FEL will also remove snow but the snow blower won't pick up dirt, rocks, heavy stuff and sort of dig.
I'm guessing it's a budget issue. I agree that now is a much better time to buy the fel but He knows he will mow with it and he knows he will use it to remove snow.
I have a front mounted blower and would never go to anything else. But my driveway is long, hilly, and twisty. I also get the occasional storm of over 3 feet. If you have a short or straight driveway maybe a rear snow blower would work or if you don't get much snow a rear blade with the fel to deal with a rare big dump.
You could always get a price with all three and and see just how much more it'll cost you. It may not be too bad. But if you really feel that the front blower is a must then I would stick with your plan.
