I'd say that the L4400 is the best deal on the line up from a value perspective without any of the negatives of the L2800/L3400 series.

How's the 3PH on the L4400? Is it smooth the the GL or "jerky" like the L2800/L3400?

The 3pt hitch on the L4400 seems very smooth to me.

That's good news. The L4400 sounds like one heck of a nice tractor for the money!

The L4400 is bascily an L-30 series tractor with different sheet metal. Its priced well and is a very refined tractor for an economey series machine.

Thanks all for the replies, appreciate it. Does anyone know a source for some PTO, transmission parts anatomy for L-3400, and same HP class grand 30 and 40? Old cam design on L-3400 had one way clutch capability from the looks of it, does anyone know if there is additional ratcheting type one way clutch incorporated in to the design with new PTO coupler?
