Anyone here have one? Do you like it?

Unfortunately they never started offering push mowers again until after I went and bought a John Deere JS48 (Snapper) from my Kubota/Deere dealer.

I'm curious to hear how they are also.

I wish they'd make a diesel walk behind... I'd pay whatever they offer for it.

Problem is, only very strange people like me would buy such a contraption. lol

I have had a w5021 since '94, great mower and still going strong! The new ones appear to have some nice features, I always seem to miss getting to check them out before they are sold, when my dealer get one in. 816209115.jpeg

I saw one at my local dealer within the past year.

Special order for a "special" customer.

22" walk behind with a Kawasaki engine. Engine had a spin on oil filter.

Mower had a $1,400 price tag.

Need a heck of an arm to pull start that sucker.

That is quite a price for a push mower! Is it self propelled?

I wonder if it’s really 4x better than my Honda push mower. I’ve had it for 5 years and so far so good. It has a bag or mulch feature that is fantastic.

Self propelled (walk behind), Honda makes a nice mower, but from my experience with both, the Kubota is a much more stout machine (and the new ones are even heavier built then mine).

The Kubota is designed for commercial use, most Honda's are more high end homeowner use.

Thanks. My Honda certainly isn’t commercial. We use it only for damp areas where I can’t get the zero turn. We have those damp areas in spring.

I bought a commercial Honda mower 20 years ago and was about $900.

Actually a Mother's Day present.

Easy to start, hydro and blade stop without stopping motor.

Does a good job and all aluminum deck so no rusting.

Not the most powerful but later models boosted hp.

Got a Honda self propelled HRX walk behind a few years ago. Never fails to start, but the wife needs the electric start on it to start it. Have had issues with the electric start. That and need to tug the cut off wire to the side to shorten it a bit for the electric start to work. Best mulching mower I've ever owned. Has 2 crossed blades.

I've often started it in the dead of wiinter with a weak pull on the pull start.

Got a lot of flack for buying Mom the Honda commercial mower...

The having to restart was wearing her down and the Honda was start once and go as it had a blade clutch.

Comments were if I wanted to really give a nice gift I would hire someone to mow... they just don't know farm girls!

I like mowers with a blade clutch to leave the engine running. Very handy.

When we had layers the hens would get excited each time the mower started because they gobbled up.the clippings...

We really did spend much on feed... table scraps devoured too... the local Subway Sandwich shop would toss untouched stale loafs of bread which the hens also enjoyed ..

In truth my problem with the old Craftsman Mowers is deck rust through... The aluminum deck makes that a mute point... no experience with composite decks.

I've seen a number of broken composit decks on the Honda's but no first hand experience, all the ones I've used/had were aluminum.

Oddly, the new commercial Honda models are steel (16g according to the specs).

The MSRP for the commercial Honda and the Kubota are pretty much the same, although I think the Honda has electric start, however that's not a plus for me personally.

I could have ordered electric for more money but dealer made a deal on floor model without start...

I looked at them when I was buying and they are a nice solid mower. I believe Bob-cat mowers builds them for Kubota. Commercial 21-Inch | Walk-Behind Mower | BOB-CAT(R) Turf
I personally went with the Honda walk behind and am very pleased with it. I love the blade stop system and it does a great job bagging and mulching.
