I'm in the process of purchasing a L4060 with a quick connect FEL. Does the quick connect work on skid skid buckets? If I had a skid steer bucket would my QQ be able to mount it?

It should work, but remember Skid Steers have a lot higher lift capacity than our compact tractors, and their buckets, may be quite a bit heavier. Of course your new tractor has quite a bit of lift..

As was said skid steer attachments will work. Be careful not to get a JD type as they don't interchange.

One of things I've noticed on most of the skid steer buckets I've seen is that that they tend to have more reach (project out further) ... this "feature" will reduce the breakout (curl) capacity of your loader (IOW: a shorter bucket requires less force due to leverage)

Just something to keep in mind.

My main thing would be possible skid steer attachments and not so much the bucket itself. The buckets are allot heavier than the standard Kubota bucket.

The FEL is a quick attach type.......the "bucket" can be a Skid-Steer QA if you desire.Adds a little weight the FEL but well worth it for sure.

I put a B1658 Kubota QA on my B3200 with a LA504 loader. It's a pin type QA. If you have the time, do some research and shop around. I'm planning a grapple attachment but most of them are Skid-Steer type.

Skid Steers do have some really cool attachments that I would like to use. The L4060 I ordered is not coming with a third function valve, but I plan on putting one on down the road.

Are you clear on the difference between a quick connect FEL and a quick attach on the FEL?

I think so. The FEL I am getting has the quick connect to remove the FEL from the tractor and also the quick attach to change buckets. Is that correct? The reason I ask, I see you can purchase a SSQA mount for FEL's and was wondering if this is the same type of mount that the factory Kubota QA bucket is.

On that size Kubota tractor you Quick Attach bucket is SSQA compatible.

Good. Thanks for confirming. I was confused on that from the start when looking at the options. :)

The loaders on the Grand Ls really are easy to remove, I take mine off regularly, I can get mine off in well under five minutes, most modern CUTs are pretty easy. Your hose are located different, but as easy if no more-so.

If you take your loader off.The spot you drop has to be dead level,a concrete pad is best.Second best is a large tree handy so you can rig if necessary..........don't ask why I know this.
