Richard, did you know if you leave a wet round bale in the bed overnight in early March it will freeze in place? I've also been told if you back up and slam the brakes to dislodge said bale that the front tires can come off the ground about knee high.

I heard all of this third hand of course, no one I knew.

If I have a 4 speed transmission there are actually five positions for the shifter, but I've never saw it counted.

I'm trying to point out that the normal resting position of the lever is between the raise and lower and this is not a float. If you place the lever at this point, the bed stops and remains in that position...so in essence it is locked. You cannot manually raise the bed with it in this position but you can if the lever is detented all the way forward. Many owners of RTVs are unaware of full forward detent position as it requires a bit of effort to push the lever all the way forward....
