Kubota RTV900 Sightings or Demo's ?

Re: Kubota RTV900 Sightings or Demo\'s ?

Zimmerer Kubota, which has 5 or 6 dealerships in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area has a commercial on one of the bigger local radio stations (WBAP) about the RTV900. They are inviting people to stop by and see a utility vehicle built like a tractor. If Kubota doesn't have units ready to ship, there are going to be a lot of unhappy people. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Re: Kubota RTV900 Sightings or Demo\'s ?

I finally had a chance to briefly inspect and demo the new Kubota RTV900 yesterday. First impression, it's built like a tank for durability with Kubota quality engineering evident. It was about 0 degrees out and it started quickly-did not see a glow plug light at first glance, maybe I missed it. I like the hydraulic bed lift system, really fast operating. The rear cargo door operates easily. Test ride was smooth at varying speeds, however when you take your foot off the accelator the vehicle will reduce speed very quickly with the HST transmisson. Did notice an annoying rattle with the screen behind the seat area-hope this is a minor fix. Too cold to spend ample time looking at this unit-wife in the truck waiting. Got to figure out how I'm going to sell my wife on the need for the Kubota RTV when we have a perfectly good 1 year old Gator 4 x 2. She wants new countertops so maybe I'll do both /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The hydro holding back is good for hilly terrain as it doesn't need constant braking. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

What are they saying about the accessories for the RVT? Are they going to be available right away or is there going to be a delay? I just wish my dealer would get some in so I could test one out. I have been waiting since September. My dealer talked me out of a Mule and told me to wait on the RVT. I sure hope it was worth the wait!

Thanks!

You will like it much better than the Gator...trust me on that. It does have a glow plug light...you have to turn the key a little and it will light up on the instrumentation panel. The dynamic braking does take some getting use to, just let off the speed control (throttle) pedal slowly and it will slow down nicely (not sudden). I just got done testing a RTV in -15 degree F weather and it performed nicely and the Curtis cab and snow blade work rather well (a 400W engine block heater is wise in this kind of cold). /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The RTV 900 is worth the wait...all accessories should be available next month (Feb.), and a model should be available at your dealer real soon.
