Re: Kubota RTV900 Sightings or Demo\'s ?

BigMac, what class is it in? I was just wondering as I see so many post comparing different units. I don't know of any units built like the Kubota. With hydro and a true diesel engine .... when you say ground clearance... and class... I know several units that have higher ground clearance but what class are you talking here.

When you start up your RTV in the morning or whenever I guess, how long do you have to wait until you can start driving it? I know that diesels require a warm up and hydros normally don't move unless warmed up... I know on gas units you can fire them up and pretty much go after a little warm up at least if you want the engine to last.

That's pretty much the same deal with the RTV. The is no set time you have to wait before you can start driving it.

Re: Kubota RTV900 Sightings or Demo\'s ?

Thanks for the info. I have purchased a worksite RTV in the interim. So far all I've done is put in a spray in bed liner and drive it .3 hours. The bed liner looks great and cost me about $50. I'm like you in that I'd really love to have a glove box and the storage box under the hood, but the prices for those items are absolutely nuts! Kubota has a great product but will tick off owners if they keep trying to gouge their loyal buyers for parts. After looking closely at the RTV, I believe I will use some of the spray in bed liner on the outside of the front wheel wells where you put your feet when you are sitting in it. It seems to be natural to rest your feet there when sitting in it and it won't take much to wear off the factory paint there. The rubber mat on the floor is good, but those wheel wells will soon lose their paint and rust. If you have a line on where to purchase accessories, please let me know. I really want the winch, speedometer and glovebox. The dealership where I bought mine had absolutely no accessories available at all. They too agreed that the price for the glove box and front storage compartment was priced way too high. I'm wearing out the internet trying to find accessories for my RTV, but am not having any success. I would appreciate it if anybody with information on how or where to buy reasonable priced (and available) accessories for the RTV's to email me at brentdn@insightbb.com. Thanks for your information! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Best investment I made on my Kubota RTV was to take it straight to the Rhino liner installer and have the bed and front bumper lined. I wish I had been thinking and had to forethought to have done the floorboard while I was at it. I've hauled concrete scraps and run into every hard surface imagineable and that Rhino lining is still in tact. It also helps reduce rattling noise!
