If I remember it rite I think Simplicity uses the Kawasaki engine in their Legacy tractors.

Yea. That Kawaski engine is problematic over time, and really expensive to work on. Reguardless of what you buy, I'd avoid that engine. They are out of the Kubota lineup at this point, but Deere has always used them heavily.

Went to pull into my local Kubota dealer this morning and the gates were CLOSED. I guess with the friday holiday they decided to not open Sat also, can't say I blame them. I know one thing, they cleared out a lot of tractors their the last couple of weeks.
My wife is still saying no to the BX for a mower, so thought I'd look at a T series.

I went to Hurst Kubota tractor sales yesterday .
They were closed.
Got to go back tomorrow.

I don't know if you are talking Kawasaki power in general or a particular model but I have owned Kawasaki dirt bikes for years and never had a problem. Currently I have two different pieces of power equipment that are Kawasaki powered (mower and UTV) and I haven't had a problem with them either (yet). Guess I have just been lucky. :)

Lot of $$$$ for a "riding mower". She wants me to get a riding mower, I would like a BH on a BX that also provides the mower capability for my son to help me mow. I of course like my oranges....

I have a G1800S that is probably about 15 years old. The 'S' is for 4-wheel steering. I have lots of small plants and other things to go round on my property, and the 4WS gives me about a 15" uncut radius with 48" deck (smaller uncut radius with a larger deck, but I needed the 48" to fit in small spaces). The 3-cyl diesel in this garden tractor is very smooth and quiet compared the V-twin briggs in my Simplicity ZTR.

This always looks cheeper at first glance.
I wanted a Kubota BX1500 but bought a Cub Cadet GT2554 for $5050 because it looked lots cheeper than a BX1500 for $8900.
It wasn't too long after I got the GT2554 that I started regretting that decision and began wishing I'd have gotten the BX1500 instead.
Wasn't satisfied with the Cub Cadet so I went and got the BX1500.
Should have gotten the BX1500 in the first place.
I now have $13950 tractor dollars spent. and the CC GT2554 just sets in the garage doing nothing.
I should have left it setting on the dealers lot and the $5050 setting in my wallet.
At least then I would have only $8900 shelled out in tractor dollars.

I am sure their quads and stuff are fine. There is a particular tractor engine with a verticle shaft and radiator on the top thats been a problem for everyone. All their stuff is abnormaly expensive to fix when it brakes, at least compared to a Kohler/Briggs, the KAW's are better running engines IMO.

Not for me! I have a JD 345 with the vertical shaft and radiator on the top. I've been mowing about 5 acres each summer for 8 years... no engine problems, yet. I service the tractor as specified in the Owner's Manual.

My only regret is that I should have bought a diesel... over $200 in gasoline last summer and have already spent that much this summer!

I know what you mean on that.
I was running a diesel and 2 gassers.
I switched from the gas Bolens and Gas Cub Cadet over two diesel Kubota BX1500 tractors.
So now I'm running 3 diesels.
Thinks to going with all diesel tractors it made it feasible to set up a pump and drum fuel set up and I no longer have to make trips to the gas station to get diesel and gas.
I get 55 gal. of off road tax free diesel delivered free at a time.
