Kubota- the Harley of Tractors?

Well lets hope that H.D.has all the bugs work out of there 2002 Electra Glide Classic..for my due dates 5/10.

Can seem to find any info on a Zundapp,nor ever sen or heard of them. /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

Couple of years before AMF took control and thru the AMF years the buyer did indeed suffer. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Before I purchase my third H.D.{1985} I waited until I saw good signs from H.D.

Glad to see another USA company decide to put there nose to the grind stone and make it. /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif

If my Kubota turns out to be as reliable as my Sportster has been, I'll be happy.

I own two Hondas and the Sportster; maybe I have bad luck but I've had more problems with the Hondas than the Harley. One Honda was defective from the factory and cooked its alternator before the first tank of fuel was finished.

I've put almost 7,000 miles on the Sportster and the only time it's been to the shop was to replace a drive belt that I accidentally broke by jamming it in gear without pulling the clutch. No leaks of any sort. It's a crude machine in comparison to the Hondas, but I can't fault it's reliability.

Mostly the law of Supply and Demand. They sell every Harley they build...I don't know what the waiting time is now, but I know it was up to 18 months a while back. And Harleys are big sellers in Japan and Europe. You know, the average Harley buyer now is a guy in his 40's pulling in over 50 grand a year...like most of you guys!

Got a chance to go as a supervisor in the Harley paint shop. This would be a temporary position (lot of temp workers at Harley...mostly engineers and such), but supervising union folks can be a real pain in the ol' rectal region. Done that before (not at Harley though)...got the scars to prove it!

Haven't seen or heard of one in many years myself; German built motorcycle, but if you go to google.com and enter "Zundapp" there are quite a few sites listed. Looks like most of them are in German which I can't read./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

My neighbor just bought a brand new Russian clone of a WWII BMW complete with side car. When he went past the house I thought it was a restored war bike. It is built very crudely. It has a few modifications such as Japanese carbs and an alternator just to make it more reliable. It is called a Ural It is very cool check out the web site.

Well I try and buy USA goods..Maytag,Chevy,RCA,Computers,M/C etc..but if one looks close at the label or the ID tag or talk a service tech, lot more parts are being place in what we think are USA made,but are coming from a third world country.

Are todays Harley 100% USA parts...nope,nor are the after market parts...cheap labor from other countries have alot to do w/it. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
