Kubota Top N Tilt Kit

I know this is a topic that has seen a lot of air time in the forum, but I have a question that's a little different, I believe.

Does anyone know if any of the Kubota "kits" will fit on a B2910? Kubota lists kits for many of the "L" series...even the smaller ones...but my dealer has little experience with these kits and can not tell me if they can be fitted to the B2910. Would hate to buy one and then find out it won't work. And the dealer does not seem too eager to try to find a solution. I'm ready to go on this and would like a package deal. I know several here have made up their own...and they are very nice...but I just can't invest the time right now.

Bill, unless they've added it recently, none of the Kubota brand kits will work, and I had to do some modifications to make a Tisco kit (made for the B8200/B9200) work, but didn't I read somewhere on the forum that Gannon has a kit now?

Bill, Bird, Best I have been able to find out, Kubota does not have kits for the smaller tractors. Not being as talented as Bird, I wanted to buy a factory kit for my B21. On the last page of my owners manual "top and tilt" is listed as an option. I have checked with the local dealers and 2 web dealers and no one can find one in there books. Go figure.

So Bird, how many trips did you make back to town? Last I remember, you had something like $800 invested, not counting time & trips? Do I remember correctly? /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Comparing that to the $750 for the Gearmore kit (installed), I would call it pretty close to a wash. 'Course having someone else do it isn't even 1/4 the amount of fun. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

GlueGuy, I don't remember for sure, but just offhand I can remember enough trips to total over 550 miles./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif And you remember about right; I spent just a little over $800./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif Now the second one will be pretty quick and simple. Of course, I have no idea whether there will ever be a second one or not./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif Nobody ever said an education was cheap.

Thanks, but it is not looking too good then. I also sent a message to Steve Carver and he referred me to Gearmore and Gannon as well. I have sent inquiries to both. I'll let you know what happens. And Bird, I wonder how many miles by tractor it is from Michigan to Texas? I could drop it off for a couple of days...

I had that experience when building the wings on the EZ. Right wing took me about six months. Left wing took only 2 weeks. The next airplane will take a lot less time than the first, but I may never get there... /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif
