loosing power have change fuel filter and still have the same problem it will not idlle
it will go up past 500 rpm it did one time got past 2000 rpm for about 10 mins, need help fixing?

To the forum from Alabama. Is 1962 the year you were born? If so, I was just finishing up high school then.

It's doubtful that your air cleaner could do that.
Is there a water filter on there as well? Sounds like wet fuel to me. If you are certain that you don't have water in any filters I'd blow back though the fuel line to clear any possible obstruction in the fuel line. If that fixes it, then you better drain the tank and clean it out.
