Kubota vs Deere Insurance

I should ask my dealer but here is a question- are all the implements added to this? If I buy a boxblade and that gets bent or destroyed some how is that covered?
If in 4 yrs a tree falls on my tractor, is it replaced? A check given for the current value? How is that value determined?

I understand the what ifs- but actual experience- my tractor will not leave my property. My HO will cover an accident on my property, and for $70 a yr cover me off property. At this point I may stick with HO.

What does 'accident on your property" mean? Liability if you run over someone? Your HO ...may... cover that. Any damage to your tractor? Probably not covered under your HO policy.

Actually the equipment is covered, If the tractor burns down in a barn fire- covered- if I drop a tree on it, its covered, thats an accident. If I bend the loader arms? I roll it, well, thats an accident. My agent is confirming but it sounds like it is covered pretty well, and at no extra cost to me, albeit at the higher deductible so if he says its covered I’ll check again myself but he’s not trying to sell me anything additional.
Kinda turned me off to hear the dealer gets a few points for the coverage and they ( every dealer I asked) initially make it sound like you have to take with their financing. It wasn’t until I considered cash and check further into insurance I realized I did not have to buy their Ins.

When I bought my tractor new I stayed with my insurance, Texas Farm Bureau, as it covered any accident on my property with the same deductible ($250) as KTAC. I think KTAC is great insurance but I just didn't need it.

The big advantage of KTAC is it will replace a tractor with new while my homeowners will replace the current value.

As an example my daughter drove my one week old UTV into a tree damaging the frame. My homeowners covered the repair ($7k).
Another example, one of my kittens decided to stay warm by crawling into the radiator shroud of my one month old F250. After shredding the fan blade and the kitten my homeowners covered the repair ($3k).

So this is an interesting topic and it's something that I hadn't thought of when considering monthly payments on my new tractor. But for what it's worth, New Holland is requiring me to carry insurance on the tractor until it's paid in full. They offer their own coverage, or you can go through a local agent of your choice. Since the New Holland insurance is only $180/year I decided to go that way because it was simple and was able to be added into the deal.

If i understand kubota vs HO INS...........

If i have kubota ins and the tractor burns down, they replace the tractor. My buddy a forester drove his brand new kubota right into a 6 inch stream that turned out to be closer to 6 ft!

Totaled the tractor. They paid to have it removed and delivered him a new tractor. He was thrilled.

With homeowners if my tractor is trashed, they cut me a check. Then I have the option do do what I want.

That's my understanding.

Not all homeowner's insurance will cover acts of stupidity. Stupidity is a harsh word but they will nitpick to make sure it's a covered event. KTAC (and maybe Deere) will just take care of you without a lot of hassle (from what I've read). Also that check your HO insurance writes could be for less than the value of your tractor. Unlike a car that has an established resell value a tractor is more guesswork. If you go the HO direction find out all the details just so you know what to expect if you need to use it.
