Kubota vs Kioti again?!?

$10k does sound a bit pricey for a 5-6 yr old rig with 25hp... a lot of people would consider new equipment instead. At that price, I'd want to be darn sure it's truly a 300hr tractor, not a 3,000hr one with the clock turned back!

From what the other folks have written, and from your assesment of your needs, I would say that either tractor will do what you need, but neither will do what you want because neither has a mid-PTO. If you feel that these are the 2 best choices for you, then I would pick the one that feels better. If the mid-PTO and a MMM is really something you think will help you work more effectively over the long run, then you may want to keep looking. I've used both RFM and MMM. Currently I'm using a MMM, but only because I ran out of storage space and the MMM takes less floor space than a RFM (simply because the MMM is attached to the tractor).

Again, pick the tractor you like better, both the Kioti or the Kubota will do the jobs. If you really want the MMM, then keep looking for something that will give you a mid-PTO.

Heck, this is a no brainer /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif : A Kubota WITH implements for $10K vs. an equivalent Kioti WITHOUT implements for the same money. You did say the implements were additional with the Kioti, right? ....get the Kubota.

Only things that might alter that is if Kioti service is easier to find in your area (Usually it's Kubota service that's easier to get) or if the Kubota's been through the wringer.

FWIW

Bob Young makes a good point here, and I didn't quite catch that the implements were extra for the Kioti. That certainly makes the deal sweeter for the Kubota unless you can get the Kioti owner to throw in the same equipment for that price. Still, I would check some new models. You should be able to get a CK20HST with FEL for only about $2500-$3000 more than that, new, warranty and all. John
