Well, since I have not ever seen a Mahindra I cannot very well make any actual comparisons with Kubota. However, from what I have read, I have to seriously doubt that they are of the same quality. Having said that, I have a current situation that is perhaps more important to me that makes me have to agree with the comment on "Dealer Support"!
Perhaps this is exactly what Mahindra would like to see. I will admit that I would have positively never have even considered a Mahindra tractor until I discovered that Kubota does not provide customer support. It now seems less important that 99% of the people would come to the conclusion that the Kubota is a better built tractor, but when a Kubota breaks (and all tractors will no matter how well they are made) and Kubota Corporation ignores the customer, I suddenly have decided that initial quality and a history of quality products may not be quite as important as it once was to me.
The truth be told, however, if Kubota continues to be terrible with their customer support, I will just go back to JD or NH. I had good service there and am not exactly up for any more "experimenting". My "experiment" with Kubota hasn't exactly turned out to be all roses. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Quality equipment, but Kubota Corportation doesn't seem to believe it when one of their tractors isn't quite right!
