To Wrap Up. "When I Turn the key, sounds like the "PTO" clutch solenoid clicks" (this was not PTO, it is the fuel shutoff solenoid)
I never stated that the starter was LOAD tested on the bench. I stated that I bench tested (meaning. powered, spun, and the gear moved such that it would engage) Perhaps next time I'll be clearer.
Here's what i deduced. 1) The remote starter, albeit a "good" one, did not have super heavy cables. It may be more designed to power through a relay. That is likely the reason the engine would not turn over with its use. 2) the 'ol screwdriver over the starter solenoid finally started the engine. If i were smart, I'd rewire with a new relay as advised by gator6x4. good advice. 3) finally found that the "brake" safety switch was bad. Getting good at replacing this. 3rd one in 6-7 years...nuff said. Thx.
