Have any of you guys seen the new Kubota ZTR yet? I have been waiting for my dealer to get one, however, I have heard that some dealers have them. I am most interested in the ZD21.

Jon; I was at the my local dealer last week (Wednesday), saw no Kubota ZTR's... didn't inquire. (Will admit… I didn't know they were coming out, until now).

The dealers in the Wichita , KS area have them. Looks like quite the machine. Didn't check what the price was.

No clue. Is it on the Kubota web site? How big is it? Where does it fit in the "fleet"?

Andy,
Your absolutely right!!! I did buy the Kubota ZD21, it is a great machine. The only thing I have not mastered yet, is making those zero turns and not tearing the turf. I do think the front mount mowers do not tear turf as much as zero turns, however, maybe I'll master the art.

Yea, Jon they got torque, I try to chill in turns unless grass is dry as a bone, plus with all this speed we can make-up any slowing down to be careful on the next strait. I tried the ZD-21 first the area Kubota rep hinted for me to get the ZD-18 which they had to order, said with the 6" smaller deck and smaller tires(more torque/spins faster than your tires if they were on the ZD-18) that I would notice no difference. And I think he was pretty much right(I saved money too, if I had the extra $ I would have got the ZD-21 just to feel I got the most power I could) Thanks for posting, ZD-18/21 just are so far now ahead of the ZTR pack WOW ! Andy.

I can't say enough about mine. I am very satified so far. (22 hrs) It is not without issues, but nothing major yet. Come winter, we'll see how the dealer handles warranty stuff.
I would like to try the mulching kit to see how well it works. (would also like to hear from anyone using one) They are about $300, and don't know if it's worth that just to see how well it works. I do like the idea of not having to worry about slinging something into a window, car, or someone.
If anyone knows how to zero-turn without tearing turf, let me know. I have become accustomed to driving it, and have learned how to not tear up the yard, but when I let someone ride the ZD, it takes a while to recover. :)

I would agree that it is the Lexus of ZTRs.
