By the way, Alvin, please turn off the caps lock; makes it easier to read for some of us. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

That L1500DT ad is a little misleading, I think. The "DT", as I understand it, indicates 4WD, but it shows and talks about a 2WD tractor.

Of course, if somebody is confused, I'm a likely candidate. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

You are right Harv.

Alvin, below is a place that sells manuals for your gray market L1500DT. They have the Operators Manual, in English, for $29.95. They have the Parts Manual for it but only in Japanese. They do have the Parts Manual for the L1500 in English but it won't cover the FWD part. They may be a good source for parts also.

( SELLER SAID IT WAS NOT A GRAY MARKET TRACTOR,I HAVE LOOKED ALL OVER IT & I DON`T SEE NO FORIGHN WRITTING.WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR?IT HAS SEATBELT& ROLL BAR,TIRES,R.P.M'S,HEADLIGHT'S,KEYSWITCH,HI-LOW RANGE, ALL HAS ENGLISH WRITTING. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif )

If it is a tractor intended for the Japan market it likely has metric
threads on the tapered hydraulic fittings. The front hydraulic block
is a easy location to check.

How much weight (on the front end)do I need, when I'm using a 4' finish mower or a 4' box blade.Weights are 52lbs.each,from Kubota dealer.Going on my L1500 4X4. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I don't use any weights on the front of mine when using my rotary cutter or box blade. I think counterbalancing weight is more important on the back when using a front-end loader that's raising a load up. I'd suggest you try it before buying any weights.
