leaks(insufficient adjective) pours hydraulic fluid from the rear end of the lift cylinder. i'll try tractor smart. if anyone comes up w/ a way to remove the snap rings that would be really great.

My exhaust was horizontal, but it's pretty easy to switch it to vertical, which I did.

I have what looks like an original owners manual for the b219 loader. It shows the four hyd cylinders and the bucket as being 'not orange' (black and white photo) so the blue-gray color is original.

I don't know if Kubota made the later model loaders but if I recall correctly mine has a plate on the inside of the left upright saying it was made by some company in the midwest.

Afternoon doktorslo.

"what's the advantage in vertical vs horiz?"

Maybe less exhuast smoke blow back in your face, also no exhuast smoke on loader arms to clean....but don't forget about objects that hang low. :(

I'm sure it probably depends on just which model you get, but when I bought my 1995 B7100, it originally had the horizontal exhaust, but the dealer said they had to turn it to vertical to add the B1630C loader.

Not knowing exactly what your snap rings are- I'd guess they are flat spring steel, about 2 coils worth. If this is the type and If you look closely, you can find an "end" to the spring. Pry it out with a small bladed screw driver and work the spring( you'll probably need two instruments to do this) around the circumference of the cylinder till it pops out. To replace, insert one edge of the coil into the groove and work the spring around the groove.
