From what I can tell, MediaMax was allowing a limited download of file or size limit, whichever came first, thus one could download a file or two then it gave the error message. Just like the free Rapidshare account. I'd hit this almost every night and get a file or two, then receive the "oops!" message. I got about half of the files, but no FL850 Tiller.

I looked there just now and it appears that MediaMax has put a halt to free or non-member access. I may be hitting on an old cookie but I can't get in at all.

Its not a 'free' account. Its paid up. There should be no practical limit on downloads by anyone. Anyone should be able to go to the site and download any number of files. The problems are technical at mediamax's end. They lost many files during a location move and also have some bad bugs in the system. About 75% of the files in kubotabooks are available. If you get a 'temporary hiccup' message then that is a file that has been 'lost' even though the file name still appears on the site. (eg the FL850). These 'lost' files may be permanently lost, or they may become 're-attached' again as mediamax institutes their recovery program over the next few weeks. (Thats why I've left the 'hiccup' filenames on the site)

The Mediamax system has many good points when it works. I hope they ultimately get it sorted out. In theory its the best I've found for hosting and sharing files. Its easy to upload and download. Downloaders don't have to join anything or logon. Managing the system is also pretty easy. But its been unreliable.

To anyone who wants to start a new library somewhere I say "Go for it.". Why doesn't one of the Kubota dealers (like Messicks) host a library like this on their own website? Is there a conflict of interest?

FL850 and FL1270 Tillers are now in kubotabooks and should download OK.

Note that other files that give you a 'hiccup' message are 'lost' for the time being.

(If you have an Apple Mac, downloading from Mediamax with Explorer may not work. In fact you may not even be able to see the list of files. Safari and Firefox seem to work OK.).

Just an idea here. If you still have copies of the missing files on your computer, it might be quicker to simply delete the missing links on Mediamax and reupload the files rather than wait for them to try and find them.

I went through the entire listing and these are the files that Mediamax returned an error on:

Backhoe
BT600 backhoe

Blades
BX2763 Blade
BX2763
BX2763-1 (all three appear to be the same file)
FZB2019-B2651
TG2754

Engines
03 series engine workshop manual
05 series engine workshop manual

Loaders and Buckets
BF300A
LA210
LA272
LA301
LA350
LA351
LA402
TL750

Mowers
RCK60B-22BX
RCK60B-22BX-1 (both appear to be the same file)

Tractors
B8200HST_DP
G1800
L3710DT_GST_HST
L4310DT_GST_HST
M5500DT

(just a suggestion, but it might be nice to make subfolders in the Tractors category for Owners Manuals, Service Manuals, Miscellaneous, etc)

Walkbehind 2-wheelers
AT705_E
SX700
AT60
AT25
AD70

OK, I've reloaded what I had, and deleted the filenames of the other books that were returning errors. Unfortunately I did not have copies of many of the files that got 'lost' because they were uploaded by other members. I was leaving the lost filenames in place because I hoped mediamax's recovery program may have fixed them, but I now think thats a lost cause. So to avoid continual frustration I've 'cleared the decks'. Hopefully all the files left now are OK. My appologies to members who uploaded books that got lost. I hope mediamax will be more relaible from now on.

Unfortunately they can't be used because they clash with lost/corrupted files with the same names. So can you please upload them again but change the file names slightly by adding an extra dot, dash or space somewhere.

I know this is a pain but theres not much I can do about it. Mediamax had a big screw up a few months ago that really stuffed up a good system. I'd move the whole kubotabooks library elsewhere if I could find a sharing system that was as easy for people to use. The beauty of this system is that anyone can upload or download without having to join or even log in.

If anyone has manuals they could upload for an L2900DT GST, I'd appreciate it.

Correction. It takes more than a filename change to fix it. The internal CRC code has to change. You can do that by adding or removing a blank page from the file if you have a full version of Acrobat/Distiller. If you don't then private message me and i'll change the file and upload it for you.
