... and had read about the seat and even with that notion tucked away in my brain, (never at on a kubota before), the seat really isn't that bad for me... Maybe I haven't put enough hours on it yet to feel the full effects of this...
I kind of felt the same as you for a while... I was blissfully unaware. I guess how cavemen thought nothing of rubbing two sticks together because they didn't know about Bic lighters. The more I got to thinking about though, I realized I've been constantly pulling my shorts out of my crotch an awful lot to avoid the inevitable unpleasantness that follows. So yeah, I think "the boys" will be most appreciative of the new seat.

I have looked at several after market seats particularly air suspension for my 7610. The only problem with all of the ones I have seen is that they don't tilt and would cover up the tool box etc. With the new seat available I'm tempted to buy it and see if I could add some type of seat "shock absorber" to cushion the ride further. I don't know about the rest of you but when I'm mowing some parts of my yard in late summer with my 7610 it will rattle my teeth if I try to go very fast at all. And I'm not talking W.O.T. I'm talking probably around 2-3 mph.

I LOVE this site. How would you know about this stuff otherwise?

Just called my dealer. He has 42 on order, but Kubota has NO IDEA when my dealer will get them. Kubota has confirmed the number being shipped, but stated simply that the supplier is totally overwhelmed and it may take 2 to 3 months to have the order fulfilled.

That said, my dealer is selling them as a replacement to B/BX owners for $30. I am #2 on their list. They'll call me when the seats arrive.

Yay!

Yep. We've got an old 45 hp Ford from the early 80s that needed a new seat. I got a beautiful new seat with arm rests and fantastic, adjustable spring support. Soooo much more comfortable than the BX. I don't remeber exactly how much it was, but it was well under $100.

I wonder if I could "MacGyver" my old seat onto the BH mount? Now that seat is BAD and this would be better but I never have to spend much time in it. Don't think it will fit but might be worth a try! :)
