Re: Kubota\'s equivelent to the CK30 std

I had the same problem when researching about a month ago, lots of Kabota's. I'm new at tractors but I think there is no exact match, the B series is lighter, and the L3400 is slightly bigger. Others can probably give better info. The CK30 won for me, Better looks, options, and less $. You can do a search in the upper tool bar and find previous discussions.
Good luck, Larry

"is there one?"

I agree and that's what I'm finding /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

the more I research I do, the more I come back to the CK30. I just called a NH dealer and his pricing was through the roof. They don't offer a syncro shuttle I was told.

Re: Kubota\'s equivelent to the CK30 std

I've been beating this horse for the last 6 months. The L2800 is close in HP but behind in features. If you want live PTO you have to go with the HST model. The gear drive has trans drive pto with overrunning clutch, which is not very user friendly for bush hogs or post hole diggers. The L3400 is a little more in hp but more compatible to the CK30. The CK 30 is about 500 lbs. heavier than the 3400 and has more features as well. I just purchase a CK30 yesterday, I feel that it is a better value for my money.

Hope this helps.

Re: Kubota\'s equivelent to the CK30 std

I think it is fair to say that the CK30 fits between some of the Kubotas.

The B3030 is an ultra-light machine, primarily designed for light landscape work, maintianing property, mowing the lawn, etc. It is capable within its limits. It excells at what it does, but it is not going to have the capacities the CK30 has.

The L3130 is larger, heavier, stronger with 2 more hp than the CK30, anything the CK30 can do, the L3130 can do and then do some more. Wtih the 723 loader, it completely outclasses the CK30's loader abilities by a long shot.

Going to the budget Kubotas, there is the L2800 and L3400. Again neither line up with the CK30 in an apples to apples comparision. The L2800 has a rudimentary transmission and is crude in comparision. The L3400 has more power and features are a better than the L2800 but the standard features are not really in line with the CK30.

There have been numerous threads pointing out that there is no true apples-to-apples comparision for the models. In terms of capabilities, the L3130 is the best in class machine, but it probably more closely approximates a DK35, but the Kubota people would feel that is unfair and suggest that an L3430 would be more suited to the DK35 comparison. The B3030 is on the opposite end of the weight and capacity scale being a light ladder frame design it is the tractor of choice for those who don't want to rut their lawns or generally want a small 30hp tractor with lots of features, but can live with lower capacities. I would suggest you read some of the older comparision threads.

Also, as the tractors are all so radically different, it might be a good idea to figure out what tasks you have to do. If the tasks are big tractor oriented then look for capacities, if the tasks are small tractor oriented then look shaving weight to save the lawn. Tasks are really the things that you have to deal with on a daily basis year after year. Decide the tasks that will occupy the majority of the tractor hours of work and buy your tractor according to those tasks.

Re: Kubota\'s equivelent to the CK30 std

When I was shopping I looked at the L2800 hydro and the CK30HST. Bought the KIOTI. They are about the same size and I'm sure I would have been happy with the Kubota, but there were too many extras on the KIOTI to ignore. Price was really close. The L3400 is the same as the L2800 with more HP. I'm happy.......... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
