Kubotas in the low/mid 40hp range

I drove an L3940 & an MX4700 around the dealer lot & found the MX to be louder, rougher, I guess more utilitarian. This weekend warrior desires smoothnes, quietness & features :thumbsup: ... so I got the L3940.

(mighta been an MX5100; can't recall now)

I agree the Lxx40 looks better parked next to the Beemer or Porsche or shiny new pickup!

I think Neal's point is a good one. It isn't farmers or people focused mostly on utility and bang for the buck that are buying the >30hp CUTs these days. Certainly if you have the cash there is nothing wrong with treating yourself to a few extra cost gizmos especially if they enhance comfort or convenience.

I'm 65 and have owned more tractors than I care to count, but that said, I really enjoy my Kubota 4240 HST +.

At the risk of being flamed, I think HST+ has taken compact tractors to a new level of comfort and convenience.

After 75 hours of tractor time on my new tractor, my only complaint thus far, is that when I return home, I think the house is too warm because I have been sitting in the super cooled air conditioned cab too long :thumbsup:
