L-100 series Was wondering anyproblems?

I was wondering if anyone's had any problems? also does anyone have a 130 does the engine idle properly?

I just got a L110 from HD and mowed some grass with it and I'm NOT impressed with it. I had some 6" grass in the back yard that I had the mower set in the highest setting ~4", and my speed was much slower than you can walk and in several places it left areas of grass virtually uncut.

I tried to mow some areas out near the road. The "tractor" would often loose traction on the slightest of slopes or on a sharp turn, and the small front wheels would hit every little bump and valley.

Too bad they don't make it in a 4x4 model. I'm seriously thinking of taking JD up on their 30 day promise

But I don't know what to get otherwise.

I got the L120. No problems so far. 12.5 hrs on it and am impressed with nice cut it gives to my lawn. I mulch exclusivley. The bigger rear tires on the 120 are a plus for the inclines I have to mow and the hydro is very nice.

I just saw the latest issue of Consumer Reports and that gave the L110 a "best buy"

I got the L120 for $2200. Added a snow plow and chains for another $350.00 /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Bought a L120 and have used it on very, very steep hills. We have aleast a 35 to 40 degree grade that needs to be mowed. Had to put chains on, but then it mowed like a champ.

I got a JD Sabre 17.542 (hydro) a year and a half ago and I have had zero problems with it so far. I don't know if they still make them or if they have been replaced with the low L series tractors. I paid $1749.
