This tractor is about 40 miles or so from my place. I've never used Ebay, so am just watching the bidding at this point. If I decide to bid, I plan to drive up there to examine the thing in person first. BTW, the bidding is/was up to 12,300 and the reserve has not yet been met.

If I get something on Ebay, it will be something that I can inspect first. There is a JD 790 with loader listed by a dealer near Columbus. That one is running with no reserve, currently around $7k, which is very interesting, but probably won't last. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

This certainly appears to be legitimate. If you click through to the seller's feedback, you can see that he has sold several other items recently, and indicates that they have sold their property, so all the toys must go. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

So what happens when the reserve isn't met? It's at about 12,520 now, still not met. Does the auction just end and the owner keeps it, not paying Ebay or anything? Can he contact the highest bidder and sell anyways? Again, I hate to sound ignorant, but I am.

Some people are just never happy, I wonder where he was from here in Oregon? I can't say as though I know anyone named Ramon though? But I will keep my eyes open....

Did anyone happen to follow this auction? I was, then didn't get to check it toward the end. Last I saw, it was around 15k with the reserve not met.
