L-39 Hydraulic Pumps, Number and Flow

/ L-39 Hydraulic Pumps, Number and Flow #11
Reading through these old posts it's nice to see others have tried what I'm currently considering....

I'd like to add the hydraulic remotes to the front of my L39 to run a hydraulic PHD. The lack of downward pressure on my current 3 point PTO PHD leaves a lot to be desired when drilling into the hard CA soil.

My concern is the 11 GPM output on the L39. I've been looking at quick attach hydraulic PHD's on eBay which range in price from $1.8K to $2.6K (including one auger) and all seem to require a minimum of 16 GPM.

Has anyone successfully made one of these work? The cost of admission is pretty steep ($750 for remote hook up plus ~$2K for the auger) to settle for a less than optimal solution.

Thanks,

Neil

I think those QA PHDs are designed for use on a skidsteer with much higher hydraulic flowrate than on a Utility TLB like the L-39.

Land Pride make 2 units that fit the bil, The HD25 and the HD35...
LAND PRIDE

There is one other company that makes a smaller hydraulic PHD, But I can't remember who it is at this time.

Thanks for the info guys.

It's interesting that Worksaver unit is almost half ($1.8K vs $3.2K) as much as the Landpride with similar specs.
