I think the L39 like most Kubotas uses a regenerative circuit that does indeed use hydraulic power to lower the loader. Obviously the loader can be lowered with the engine off.

Yeah, I hate that regerative circuit! I don't care about fast dump times, I want force first, not speed.

The L-39 linkage at extremes of travel has poor leverage. The JD-110 and L-48 is a better backdragger.

Other than being weak wristed, I have no complaints of my loader or loader valve and hope i never do.
