I don't believe Kubota would want you to vary from their service schedule, except if you changed fluids MORE rather than LESS frequently.
Without igniting any oil debate, using the synthetic gives me piece of mind for the $$$$$ investment I have in my tractors & truck.

The motor oil capacity of the BX2200 is 3+ qts, the L-39 is 6 qts.
That cost for syn. is minimal vs. petroleum oil. Rotella Syn 5-40 was around $13 gal last oil change.
Hydro fluid capacity for the BX is 4 gal, the L-39 is 12+ gal.
This cost adds up quicker, but the hydro fluid is changed less frequently. S-UDT was $13-$15 gal my last purchase
As stated in many posts here, the oil lubricates but the additives wear out over time. The oil also accumulates contaiminates.
Longer drain intervals would seem to call for extra filtration and a testing program. If you do a search on these topics, you'll find many members who follow these practices, and could give you advice.

I'd go with the Super UDT for the transmission. The reports "from the field" are that it is definitely worth the $$. I used to use the standard UDT in the tranny of my last machine and noticed quite a difference when it was changed. The systems seem to come up to temperature faster and the hydraulics are quieter. It made a difference for sure. After the first few drains the interval is quite long I believe. The L39 has dual filters too /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yep. Skypup will hopefully add his comments about the Super UDT in the transmission/hydro system. He's a big fan of the SUDT and he's got some more knowledge on the subject than I.

The Kuboat SUDT is not synthetic, but it IS Multigrade instead of single grade like UDT.

Therein lies the solution, being a multigrade 5W-30, it is much sweeter flowing at high rates through the hydraulic pumps and their implements.

The kinematic viscosity of SUDT is some 50% lower than UDT throughout the entire operational range of the hydraulics. This means no empty fluid starved hydraulic pump, smooth quiet operation without straining, and much longer service life.

If you have an HST or GST transmission, it is a great mistake NOT to use the multigrade SUDT or an equilivant.

Hey fellas, thanks for the priceless advice. I will use Rotella syn in the engine and SUDT multi grade in the hyd. system soon as i hit change interval.

Is there a website that sells the filters any cheaper than the K dealer?

Hope I can lend help to others like you have to me. I can help with building construction, excavating, masonry, dumptrucks, trailers, etc.
