What would be the biggest blade I can put on this tractor?

I have a fisher 8' V I can get dirt cheap. I'd have to add a remote up front and I'd like to mount the blade on the loader arms as I might need the loader for loading salt.



I asked one of my dealers but they are not up to par on stuff. They thought 8' is too big and wanted to sell me a $3300 sub frame mount for the blade. I asked them earlier in the year on priceing on a M125X no word back. I recently re visted last week for priceing on a L5740 no word back even so we sat down for over an hour going over how I want it set up.

Well......... i've seen several 8' plows on smaller tractors than yours......

I have an 8' ANBO blade I use for snow removal with my M5040. I have filled front/rear tires and use studded ice chains on all four wheels. Without the added weight and traction the blade tends to push the tractor around.

I am also have an 8" Fisher on an M-5040.

Okay I figured and 8' would be okay. Not 100% on filling the tires as I might use it for some grass cutting, don't want ruts in the grass. I should have a 1200lb snow blower hanging off the back and maybe some wheel weights.


I'd prefer to mount the blade to the frame of the tractor but do not want to drop $4000 on a subframe. Is it easy to fab up a sub frame I have a good faber that can lay some serious beads.
