Hey guys, my father and I bought a Kubota L1501 "gray series" tractor (unknowingly) and now are having a hard time finding parts/dealers. the local Kubota dealer is totally unsympathetic to our cause , we just thought we got a heck of a deal! If anyone could help us maybe find someone close to Kansas City (or the Midwest) it would be very much appreciated. (I originally posted this plea under parts/repairs until I found the "grey market" forum and couldn't figure out how to delete/move from there SORRY!)

I sent you a PM about someone who may be able to help. Hopefully you will hear from others on here too.

Hi Fatkid,

I too am a new owner of a Kubota l1501 4wd tractor. It came with a manual for a L245 which has some simil;ar thinks but is definately not exact since it has a 3 cyl engine and my 1501 has 2 cyl. I have not looked for parts yet but know there is a network here in
Canada that could be helpful. So far I have not needed anything other than oil. My Transmission /Rearend seemed to need oil so I filled it up with sae90 which the l245 book said to use.
This morning I was looking at the manual and a parts breakdown and see some thing called a "level plug" . If that is the level the oil is suppose to be at I better drain some out.
I wonder what happens if you have too much gear iol in the unit.

Southern Global Tractor in Mississippi can get you parts.
Whitehorse Distribution in Canada can also
I'm sure there are dealers who visit this site that can get you any parts you need also.

Go to the Kubota dealer and tell them you need parts for an L185. The L185 was the American version of the L1501.

Now that you know the US equivalent, go to http://www.tractorsmart.com/ and click on the Manuals tab. Find your model (L185) and send them a request. They will email you the complete exploded parts manual in .pdf format. They will also sell you whatever parts you need at a very good price. And they won't ask if you've got a grey.

Thanks a million!!!! You can't imagine what this means to us. Sure is nice to know there are people in the world who are driven by kindness and not profit!

Bill, went to tractorsmart and requested like you said but they just emailed me back a price list for owner, parts or shop manuals. was kinda hoping to avoid buying an $80 manual, maybe there is one at a more reasonable price. thanks for the tip, though, i'm WAY ahead of where i was.
