My friend is experiencing some hydraulic lift problem on his Kubota L2201 ( US cross model as L245).

The problem is with the 3point arms, which will not lift, unless he revs the engine to 2000 rpm or more. The hyd oil has already been changed & problem has not been solved.

He wish to ask:
1) does the L2201 tractor has a hydraulic strainer or a filter? He has searched and found none.
2) Somebody knows the correct hydraulic pump pressure & if he can test its performance without the pressure gauge (to start some tests)
3) Any idea how much a replacement pump may cost?
4) The lever which controls the draft (up & down of the 3P arms) is very soft and easily drops down. Is there any setting screw to stiffen this lever?

Thanks in adavance for any body who shares his help & opinions

regards
Micg

There is a hydraulic filter/strainer. Look on the side of the trans where the hydraulic line bolts on. It is on the other side of the trans directly across from the line.
The 3 point control arm can be tightened by looseing the nut where the arm bolts on and turning the bolt and then tighten the "jamb" nut.
