Oil & Fuel L245 an out of Diesel

Can anyone tell me the procedure/best way to prime my Kubota? I ran it out of Diesel.

burnell5, probably someone who owns an L245 can tell you exactly, but you don't actually prime it. What you have to do is bleed the air out of all the lines. Some Kubotas have a bleeder screw on the fuel filter housing, some have another bleeder screw on the injector pump, and then you may or may not have to bleed each injector at each cylinder. Usually the screw on the filter housing is one you just loosen until fuel runs out by gravity. If there's one on the injector pump, you loosen it, hit the starter (only a second or two in my experience) until fuel come out, and retighten it. Then go to each injector, loosen the line on top, hit the starter again until fuel comes out, go to the next one, etc. Sounds like quite a job, and I understand it is on some bigger rigs, but I could do the whole job on my B7100 in 10 minutes or less.

Fill the fuel tank, loosen the fuel filter (with a drain pan underneath) and let the fuel run out till you see no more air bubbles, retighten the filter, open the valve at the injection pump (optional, usually works without) set throttle at half and crank till it starts, let rpms come up and smooth out. May have to repeat start once or twice. Don't crank the starter for more than 30 seconds, make sure your not overheating it.

I owned an L185DT for over twenty years and ran out of diesel more than once. There is an easy fix.
There are two bleeder valves, one on the top of the fuel filter and another along the line from the filter to the injectors.
Both are like slotted screws, turn them until some fuel dribbles out and there is no more air, then close them. The tractor should start right up. If not, just do it again.
