L2500 Air Intake?

I was thinking of trying to do the edits in <font color=orange>orange</font color=orange> but forgot; either that or it was a <font color=green>Freudian slip</font color=green> /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif!

This is why I love this board. There is always someone more talented than me that I can learn from. Now Mark, how did you do that?

1. Saved the file
2. Opened in Microsoft Photo Editor (junk, but all I have at work for GIF)
3. Didn't change anything, but did "Save As" with same name, but Window's BMP format.
4. Opened new file in Windows Bitmap editor and added the stuff. Save.
5. Opened the edited BMP file in Photo Editor and saved again in GIF format.
6. Posted. Simple, eh? (not! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif)

I've got Adobe Photo Deluxe (little brother of Adobe's high-end Photo Shop) at home, which will do the open, edit, and save in the same process.

Good question, Bird. Up 'til now I thought the pictures and diagrams were reliable, and it was just the doubly translated text that fell short.

And John, don't whip out that washcloth just yet. We're all assuming the mystery is solved, but I'd hold off until I check it out in person. And if there's any egg dripping off cheekbones around here it has to be on me. I've had this diagram all along and didn't notice the unlabelled tumor on the bottom of the canister until just now. /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

The truth is out there, and I'll try to poke my finger in it this weekend. Unfortunately, since I still have no connectivity (or computer, for that matter) up at the property, I won't be able to post my findings until Monday. Is "Windows Bitmap editor " the same as MS-Paint? I tried something similar but Paint said the bitmap was too big.

Maybe I should get a life? I need some tractor time!!!!!!
