I am in the process of performing the 50 hour service on my L2500. The service manual indicates that there is a grease fitting inside the clutch housing, but I don't see any obvious place to grease.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Mike:
The fitting that you refer to is under a plate below the steering wheel and if I remember correctly I read someplace that you do not have to grease this fitting untill you have that plate off for some reason related to the clutch which may be never. I found the picture on page 46 of the maintenance manual. I can't seem to find where I read about not greasing that though. I'll keep looking and if I come up with the official word I'll let you know. I have never greased the fitting on my L2500 and I try to do all the maintenance requiredl.

Mike:
Back again. After further perusal of the operators manual, I found the info on page 41 under the lubricants list. Go to the bottom of the list and you should see "clutch release hub" grease when disassembled. I knew I saw that somewhere. Have fun with your L2500.

Thanks for the information. I think I will just leave the clutch alone unless I have a problem with it...
