L2600DT package

I'm in the early stages of buying a 25-30 hp tractor and mower, preferably a Kubota.

Local dealer has an ad in the paper for an L2600DT, a 'quick attach front end loader', a 6' Land Pride rear blade, and a 16' utility trailer for $14,995.

This is not the package I would want; what I want is probably an L3000DT (because of the live PTO) and a 72" finishing mower, rear blade, and the trailer would be nice also.

My question is this: Is the above price a good deal? If so, this may be a good dealer to deal with.

If it helps any, I bought a L3000DT w/turf tires, upgraded LA450 Front Loader, 6' Woods Rear discharge finish mower and a tooth bar for the bucket for $15,800. This was 12/2000.

I just received quotes on this tractor (L3000DT) and some of the accessories. The tractor(ags) and loader(LA450) was quoted at $14,300. The Woods 6' finish mower at $1700 and a LandPride RB25 72" blade for $475 . Total=$16,475 b/4 tax.

I had a chance to visit three dealers this morning. I was only able to obtain a price at one of them.

The first had one old salesman who seemed tethered to a couple who appeared interested in a 2710. Only when I was getting in my car to leave did he volunteer that 'he'd be with me in a minute.'

Second dealership had some kind of backhoe rodeo taking place. I couldn't even find a salesman there.

Third place quoted me $11,700, before tax, for an L3000DT with ag tires.

Phone call to a fourth dealer netted an $11,500 quote, which if I figured correctly, is about 19% off list.

Anyone care to recommend a dealer in the Kansas City area?

Bangert's in Jackson, MO, near Cape Girardeau, has a bunch of L2600's with loader advertised at $13995, I believe. About 5.5 hours from you, unfortunately.
