What do you mean by shudder, I just got my tractor 5 days ago, and I have notice it goes down real smooth but when raising it bounces a little, is that common? I haven't contacted my dealer yet, to ask, but let me know what I should look out for on a new tractor. Also... How much noise is common on the HST /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif it is a pretty lound windding noise, I have notice a little louder with 4wd engaged.

The bounce going up is the issue. The new valve helps smooth that out. If your bounce is about an inch you have the old valve.

The whine will improve a bit with age but is normal for hydraulics. Running the engine at PTO speed reduces the whine on my L3400.
