Just a few thoughts.....The plow may just need to have the 3pth top link shortened a bit when plowing. As stated previously, that knob only controls the drop speed of the 3pth but does not have any effect on the upward floating of the plow...these 3pth have no down pressure and depend on the weight of the lower control arms and the attached emplement to drop them..and is the FEL a Kubota LAxxx or a 3rd party unit???

I am wondering what the size of the lift cylinders are. They must be pretty small to be so fast as his tractor has 6.8 gallon a minute of total flow.. It would interesting to know what the lift cylinders are rated for lift wise.

I want to say something like 800# ??? I read that someplace in the manual once. I was trying to lift a Kuhn tiller up enough for a trailer to back under it and it did but just barely. So I went in and looked in my book then but that was 6 years ago I think. Thanks to everyone though for all the responses. Jeff

I know of two instances where the tail wheel got broken off the back end of a brush mower from being dropped too fast. In some instances the drop valve on a three point does make a difference. On a plow you want it to drop back quickly, on some implements you do not.
