I have not been real comfortable with the operation of my 3PH from the start. It seems a little eratic when I ask it to come up, it jerks up in 3 or 4 inch leaps no matter how slow I move the lever. The othe rday I was driving form one place to another with my winch on the back, about 400 pounds in the raised position when all of a sudden I noticed the winch would drop about 4 inches and then coame back to the orginal height. This happened about evey ten seconds. I dropped the 3PH then raised it again and the up and down thing stopped.

Anybody got any ideas, or had a similar experience. I am going to call the dealer soon.

Yep, thats how they seem to work on the 3000's. Ya just have to be a little lighter on the touch /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Yep my L2350 does the same jerking when lifting the 3ph. Not much you can do, I have tried to move the lever very slow, but it still jerks a lot. Makes it a pain using my potato digger.

My L3410 does not have any problems like yours. The 3PH is smooth and moves in very small increments. This is something I do a lot when the box blade is being used. Recently I got a post hole digger and that goes up and down a lot and needs fairly tight control. Once again, no issues. You need to see the dealer about it as it is not normal.

John, I have talked with the dealer and tried a few low end L series and they are real touchy on the up stroke. Nice and smooth going down, but it takes a steady slow hand to get the 3ph up without it "jerking".

Huh? Really? Either I have a smooth touch (yeah right, like a blacksmith!/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif) or I have one that works correctly. Of course, now that I am thinking about it, my attachments are typically about 850 to 1200 pounds. That may damp it and result in a smoother operation. But....on 2nd thought, when I hook up something the arms are empty and I can go up in very small steps to align the pins into the arms.

Were I you, the dealer would still be my next stop.

Hope it all works out well!

John, I did go to the dealer (two of them), all the l3000's I tried were "jerky" with an attachment. None of the xx10 series I tried had this problem.
