Several months ago I saw a post on this forum from a B2910 owner who said that he found an electrical lead terminated with a connector of some sort under the seat of his tractor. After looking into it, he found out that it was for supplying current to an optional work light.

Has anyone one found such a wire on an L3010? I'd like to mount a light on my ROPs pointing backwards so that I can finish those jobs that I can never seem to complete before it gets too dark to see!

Thanks.

Scott, I just installed a work light on my 3010 and I didn't find a plug. I used the little blue splice terminals and it works great. I spliced into the right hand (from the rear) tail light. I attached my light to a toolbox bracket I made for installing a bigger toolbox. I can send pics if you want.

On the right side of my seat there's an unclaimed plug. I'm not sure if it's specifically meant for anything, but I checked it with my meter and it's 12V.

Scott, I had to look and think about it awhile to find that lead on my B2710 because the end of it (the connector) was taped to another wire with enough tape to completely conceal the connector.

Steve, I would appreciate it if you could post a shot or two of your light assembly. Thanks for the offer.

Be careful about the amperage draw you intend to put on a circuit meant for a tail light. I wanted 2 rear lights, mounted on each bumper, so ran 14 gauge wire from the battery, and was able to power 2 front (mounted on ROPS) and 2 rear lights.

There is a wire for a worklight tucked up under the left fender on the L3010. The wire will be folded up with the wires running to the rear lights.

Good Luck.
