I used the stock filter but I came across some very strong magnets and I have them on the outside of the filter. I used some strong tape to hold them on. Being on the outside I can place them at the bottom of the filters. I have them on both the HST, hydraulic, and engine filters. Never had an issue with loosing them. I'm not even sure if the tape is needed as it takes a lot to remove them. I was thinking about using the NAPA filter in the future to save a little as the ring magnet really isn't needed with my method.
