I am looking real hard at the L3240HST\ La724\ MMM\ and really want the R4's.

Questions are
1.) does anyone know if the Kubota L3240 with R4's is compatible with the 72 inch MMM or would i have to use turf rubber.?
2.) Should i upgrade the bucket to the optional heavy duty?

Thanks and happy Easter to you all

There are a couple of active tire threads on the "owning/operating section" of the Kubota as well as "General" that you might find useful. I have posted the following on a couple of them. The L3240 is a really nice little tractor.

"As has been mentioned on these sites/posts many times before; for multiple applications any single tire choice is going to be a compromise. I fave equipment with turf, Ag, bar, industrial and orchard. I even have one with mixed front and back.

After trying them all, I have settled on industrial for my BX2660 with 60" MMM and FEL, John Deere 2305 with 62" MMM and L5030 HSTC with FEL, Ag tires on my other larger tractors.

For my conditions, industrial tires for mowing and FEL use on hilly property is the best compromise with the smaller tractors work best; I have had traction issues with turf under these conditions, but I often mow when the grass is wet.

This works best for me, but your conditions may dictate otherwise. Some people get touchy on this subject when others disagree with their choice, but variables such as soil type, terrain, operator experience, tractor type etc. all factor in and what is "best" for one and not another."

Can't help you with the tires/MMM. You do need to make sure you have the Skid Steer Quick attach for your loader.

I agree on the Skid Steer Quick attach as i am thinking of getting pallet forks too.
Just not sure if the heavy duty bucket is worth the additional cost and how much more it weights.
Sure wish the regular bucked had the holes in the cutting edge. That makes adding a new edge a snap.
(The cutting edge on my My B1700, which i bought new in 1998, would need to be replaced now for sure, if i wasen't trading it in.... It has been a good tractor. Only 415 hrs on it, but time to upgrade!)
So, what ya all think about the LA724's regular, compared to the heavy duty bucket?
Worth it or not?
